We are the

Northern NSW Chapter

of the

Harley Owners Group

The Northern NSW Chapter (the "Us" in "About Us") is the second oldest chapter of the Harley Owners Group in NSW, the first chapter to be formed on the (far) north coast of New South Wales, and one of the earliest in Australia. The club was 20 years old in 2009.

We are located in sunny Ballina, on the far north coast of NSW.

We are a relatively small club comprising of some 70 members but growing. However, in our 20 year history we have seen many times this number of members.

Our activities include one-day rides and weekend (overnight) rides. In 2008 we hosted the highly successful  National Rally held at Lennox Head (we also hosted the 1999 NSW State Rally at Lennox - still remembered by many as the "best ever").

Many of our club events raise funds in support of a number of charities.

The Club was formed in 1989 with Seaside Moto Cycles (owned and operated by Joe and Marilyn Fisher) as its sponsoring dealer.

About six years ago Ken and Debera Duplock acquired Joe & Marilyn Fisher's Seaside Moto Cycles in Ballina, and so became our sponsoring dealer.

In 2010 Seaside Motorcycles was purchased by Steven and Andrew Fisher of Ballina Motorcycles, now trading at the original address in Kerr Street, Ballina. Ballina Motorcycles became our sponsoring dealer.

However, by 2011 the official Harley Davidson dealership was withdrawn from Ballina Motorcycles, and we are (temporarily) sponsored by Harley Davidson itself.

We continue an association with Ballina Motorcycles, who are our "supporting dealer".

About the Harley Owners Group:

The Harley Owners Group ("HOG") is a motor bike club open to owners of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and has chapters in most countries in the world. The international headquarters of HOG and Harley-Davidson is in Milwaukee, U.S.A. (For addresses - click here or see below)

Internationally, HOG is divided into chapters - each chapter is sponsored by a motorcycle dealer registered with Harley Davidson as a dealer of Harley-Davison motorcycles (every HOG chapter must have a sponsoring dealer).

A Full member of HOG International must be the owner of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and is eligible to be a member of a local HOG chapter. We have a growing number of females who come to the Chapter as full members (owning and riding their own Harley).

Partners, spouses, family members and pillion riders / passengers of a full member may be Associate members.

An Associate member must have an active sponsoring Full member.

Ladies of Harley ("LOH") is a group within HOG for female Full or Associate members.

Many LOHs who are Associate members go on to purchase their own Harleys and so become full HOG members.
